We spent a lot of the autumn at P&G’s newly rebuilt Reading site both creating hybrid conferences – and also working though the 80 or so scenes for their new health and safety video.
I was expecting to get a bit jaundiced by the filming of endless potential problems but in fact there is nothing we shot that seemed remotely hyperbolic. Over the last 30 years Health and Safety has gone from an afterthought and a nod, to a central tenet of any project. And rightly so as the injury stats reveal.
We filmed in laboratories, with cranes, with people lifting stuff, disposing of things and we even used a prosthetic makeup artist who did a brilliant job of creating a cut finger with dripping theatrical blood.
We shot in Log and graded as standard for a premium broadcast quality look. Regular voice over artists Tony Hawkins read the script and gave the project his typical authority.
It was a terrific project and a valuable update to the company’s existing 20 year old film.
