World leading fit-out and finishers (decorators to the uninitiated!) Lucas asked me to shoot some new staff pictures, it having been 5 or 6 years since our last shoots. We started in their office and I was delighted to see that it had been refurbished into a superb environment. It was pretty much impossible to find an uninteresting background which meant I could simply shoot in whatever direction I wanted and get some great candid shots of the office workers.
I again used our LED cob lights fired into a 160cm soft box. This creates a very large soft light source that covers a wide e=area even from a distance. Close up it gives a wrap around beauty lighting feel, at a few meters there effect remains soft but is more modelled snd directional. I could not have wished for a better light.
You can do the same thing with flash, in fact the same soft box fits our Bowens 3k pack, but not everyone feels comfortable with constant strobing and the constant light although bright is soon absorbed into the environment and forgotten.
In addition to the main office are we also shot in the warehouse and spraying areas. This is another remarkable client with legendary leadership from Danny Lucas, now beginning to hand over to the next generation.
