It has been exciting to get inside views of the work taking place as photographer on what will be London’s, and therefore probably the one of the world’s , premium residential development. Caudwell, the eponymous property company named after John Caudwell, billionaire of Phones4U fame, asked me to shoot progress on this prestigious build and I have enjoyed playing in the dirt and climbing cranes again.
A trip to a Portland stone quarry to film the stone for the facings being assessed and selected gave an insight into the depth of care and detail that is being put into this build, the value of which I have heard many figures for but they all involved lots and lots of zeros on the end.
Old friends PJ Carey’s are digging down 5 floors and casting massive concrete decks at each level. This is a remarkable project and I’ll keep the blog updated with fresh news as it happens.
